This gorgeous 1930's antique ring is crafted from rich 18ct yellow gold with a lovely combination of old-cut antique diamonds and red rubies.
The diamonds are antique Old Brilliant Cut Diamonds, originally mined and cut pre-1930. Old Cuts have slightly different proportions to the modern brilliant cut, with a deeper crown and flat cullet. It would have been shaped and faceted without the modern technology the diamond industry relies on today, making an old cut diamond something to admire.
We can date the ring, as it has an good clear hallmark, dating it to London 1930. It is in good condition for its antique age and has been professionally cleaned and polished to perfection and fully checked and tested so you can buy with confidence.
The ring measures 14mm x 7mm across the gem section and 2.7mm at the back of the hoop.
